This fight belongs to all of us.
We’re here to walk with you.
Our Commitment
We believe that we can make a difference—one woman, and one family at a time. We work collectively to reduce and eliminate the detriment of breast cancer in the lives of African American families. Sojourners provides support, education, and encouragement through various community outreach opportunities in Palm Beach County. Our belief is that each woman, regardless of her race, creed, or religion has the right to be treated with dignity as support is rendered to her. Our purpose is to walk with women sojourning this journey, encouraging them and their families to keep the faith and embrace hope.

What we do
Our Services
At Sojourners with Healing Hearts, we walk alongside women and families with resources that heal, empower, and sustain. Our programs are designed to address the full journey from prevention and early detection to financial relief and emotional support.

EDUCATION
Our signature Early & Empowered Education Series is more than a program, it’s a movement to change the story for women in our communities. Through powerful workshops, accessible webinars, instructional videos, and engaging school programs for teens, we equip women and families with the tools to take control of their health. By focusing on prevention, early detection, and wellness, we aim to shift the statistics, rewrite the narrative, and create a future where fewer women are lost to cancer and more are living vibrant, healthy lives.

Early Detection Screenings
Each month, in partnership with Boca Raton Regional Hospital and the Pressel Mammovan, we bring free mammograms directly into the community. These screenings make it easier for women to access lifesaving early detection and take the first step toward proactive health care.

#SOJOSquad Support Group
Our support group is a safe place for women actively navigating recovery from cancer. Led by dedicated nurse practitioners and mental health therapists, the group offers compassion, encouragement, and guidance from people who understand the journey firsthand.
Financial Assistance
We help ease the burden of medical bills for women affected by cancer. Assistance is available by application and is designed to provide timely relief so women can focus on their health and healing instead of financial stress. We make payments on behalf of survivors for mammogram screenings*, medical bills and co-payments, and transportation to medical visits. (*Based on American Cancer Society Criteria)
We take support seriously
Our Mission
Being kindred spirits who offer support in the physical, mental, and spiritual healing of persons affected by breast cancer is what drives us to make real impact.
#SOJOSquad Support Group
We invite breast cancer survivors to become a part of our community of healing. Join our next in-person support group meeting. You are not alone…
